Juan Francisco González

Born in 1989 in Punta Arenas, Chile, Juan Francisco González studied film at the EICTV (San Antonio de Los Baños) and the Ateliers Varan, Paris. He co-directed the documentaries Propaganda (2014) and Dios (2019), which were featured and awarded at Visions du Réel. In 2020, he finished the short film Maria K, which had its world premiere at Cinéma du Réel in the Première Fenêtre Compétition and received the Public Award and a Special Mention from the Jury in FIDOCS (2020). Among others, his films have been programmed at DocLisboa, Popoli, Yamagata, and Mar del Plata.
