In this documentary, the director explores the complicated relationship between him and his father after a health scare changed his life. Obsessed with health, the father adopts an extreme organic lifestyle, isolating himself to strictly control his diet and daily habits. He tries to push these strict routines on the director.

 

Paul Abraham

Paul Abraham is an Indian filmmaker based in Qatar. With a background in architecture, his passion for storytelling led him to explore film as a medium. His debut documentary, Alkaline, supported by the Doha Film Institute, has been recognized for its unique approach and compelling narrative, earning him the Best Director Award at the 2024 Ajyal Film Festival. Paul’s work blends architectural principles with cinematic artistry, reflecting his evolving vision as a filmmaker and his dedication to experimenting with innovative narrative forms.

 

Abdulla Al-Hor

Abdulla Al-Hor is a Qatari filmmaker who has earned an MA in Film and Media from Johns Hopkins University. Even though his focus has been on sound recording and sound design, he has occupied multiple roles in various films. His most recent film, The Experiment, which was funded by DFI and developed by Hopkins is currently in the post-production stage. Abdulla currently occupies the position of Teaching Assistant in the College of Arts and Sciences at Qatar University.
