In 2020, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Lisbon’s largest sports center is repurposed into an emergency shelter for people experiencing homelessness. Guided by Teresa, the project’s director, a temporary and self-organized community emerges, restoring a culture of care and mutual support. Despite challenging circumstances and the neighborhood’s scorn, the residents find a voice and a sense of belonging. In a society on the edge of collapse, the film follows the journey of Tiago and Placido, navigating the everyday turmoil in the hope of a new beginning.

Zsófia Paczolay
Zsófia Paczolay is a freelance artist, filmmaker based in Budapest and Amsterdam. Her background is in architecture, social work, performance & basketball.
Dorian Rivière
Dorian Rivière is a French director based in Brussels. Currently part of the European filmmaking program Docnomads, he also works as a professional editor and cinematographer. His next project is a Transylvanian documentary about vampires.
