Living with fading eyesight a filmmaker reflects on the light that will be missed in the darkness and the reminiscence that will be haunting him in the murk.

Giorgi Parkosadze

Giorgi Parkosadze is a documentary filmmaker and editor from Tbilisi, Georgia, who has always been curious to meet strangers, share their stories, and collect their images in memory, as he believes memory is one of the main traits that defines us as human beings. In 2015, Giorgi received a MA degree in multimedia journalism and in 2022 he graduated from DocNomads obtaining a MFA degree in documentary film directing. Giorgi’s debut feature-length documentary film Requiem to the Hot Days of Summer has premiered at Sarajevo FF 2023 and has been awarded for the best feature-length documentary at Tbilisi IFF. His short essay documentary Master of Loss has been screened at several international and local festivals and received a Special Mention at Tbilisi IFF.
