The film centers on Susanna Tapaltsyan, an Armenian businesswoman, who owns a café called “Paros” (i.e. lighthouse) in Moscow. As the film goes on, she recalls the stories of her ancestors surviving the Armenian Genocide and conveys how she herself traveled to her historical homeland.

Born on July 2, 1975, Roman Saulsky is a director, actor, and scriptwriter. He is the son of famed Soviet Russian composer and conductor Yuri Saulsky.
