Vincent Sorrel is a filmmaker and lecturer in film studies at the University of Grenoble where he is responsible for the master’s degree in creative documentary organized between the university and Ardèche Images association in Lussas. He intervenes in the questions of writing, directing, and production of documentary films. Co-author with Jean-Louis Comolli of the book “Cinéma, mode d’emploi. De l’argentique au numérique”, published by Verdier in 2015, his work concerns cinematographic practices. This research, both theoretical and artistic, is developed through films on the cinematographic gestures of Artavazd Pelechian or Vittorio de Seta and publications that question the influence of technology on the imagination of filmmakers and their creative process.
